Registration for the Fall Retreat will be online OR in-person with Axel.  Payment must be accompanied with your registration.  That is, if you register online, payment must be made either with your registration online, or if you prefer, at your next yoga class.  If you register in-person with Axel, payment is required with your registration.  Registration accompanied by payment will confirm your spot at the Spring Retreat Program.  Register early to confirm your attendance!

DIRECTIONS from Toronto: Travel 404 North and turn right (east) on Green Lane. At Woodbine Avenue turn left (north). [Note: Past the town of Keswick, Woodbine makes a sweeping right (east) curve and becomes Baseline Road.] Follow to Dalton Road and turn left (north). Continue to Lake Drive and turn right (east) until you come to Hedge Road. Keep to the right until you see The Briars gate.

A 174 year tradition of hospitality blending the treasures of the past with the luxury of today, offers guests an escape to the tranquil beauty of an old family country estate. The Briars lush lawns, gardens, hedges and towering trees, are beautifully situated on sparkling Lake Simcoe, just one hour from Toronto. There are a variety of recreational activities available including golf, tennis, hiking and mountain biking. The Briars spa has a welcoming and healing atmosphere offering soothing body therapies, relaxing holistic treatments, and natural skin care/esthetics.

ACCOMMODATIONS: Inn Guest Rooms are located in the Bourchier Wing and are beautifully appointed with queen, king or twin beds. Each room features a balcony or patio, comfortable seating area, 4-piece bath, hair dryer, coffee/tea maker, TV, AC/heat and internet access. All rooms are non-smoking.

Both overnight options include: 1 overnight stay, 5 meals, snacks and 6 yogic activities.

Saturday Only
Includes: 3 meals, snacks and 4 yogic activities.

Sunday Only
Includes: 2 meals, snacks and 2 yogic activities.

If you are amenable to sharing a room for one night to get the Double room rate (save $50!), please note this on your registration form and we will endeavour to pair you up with another student.

Above prices do not include: bar (including soft drinks), phone charges, spa treatments and other personal incidentals.

Itinerary for the Spring Retreat


8:00 am - 10:00 am       Light Breakfast served in the Dining Room.

9:00 am - 10:30 am       Beginner Yoga Class in the Great Hall.

10:30 am - 12:00 pm     Intermediate Yoga Class in the Great Hall.

12:00 pm - 1:30 pm      Buffet Lunch served in the Dining Room.

1:45 pm - 3:30 pm        Keynote Lecture & Discussion in the Great Hall.  

                             Topic (Fall 2019) - The power of mindfulness and how to apply it in daily life

3:30 pm - 4:00 pm       CHECK-IN.  (Prior to 3:30pm, onsite storage provided for coats and small bags only.)

4:00 pm - 5:00 pm       Guided Nature Walk.  Bring boots!  Meeting spot: front doors. Weather dependent.

5:30 pm - 6:30 pm       Sit-down Dinner served in the Dining Room.

7:15 pm - 8:15 pm       Meditation in the Great Hall.


8:00 am - 10:00 am       Light Breakfast served in the Dining Room.

9:00 am - 10:30 am       Beginner Yoga Class in the Great Hall.

10:30 am - 12:00 pm    Intermediate Yoga Class in the Great Hall.
